SHAMS Backup is a private utility being configured to protect its operator's application data. It is designed to encrypt backup data before storing backup files in the operator's own Google Drive account.
How it is intended to work
Backup data is encrypted locally before upload using Restic.
Rclone transfers encrypted repository files to Google Drive with authorization from the account owner.
The operator can retrieve backup files and restore them using separately protected recovery credentials.
Who is this for?
SHAMS Backup is an owner-operated service, not a public backup platform. It does not offer public registration, third-party user accounts or access to stored backups.
Its Google Drive integration is intended to use the limited drive.file scope for files managed by this application, subject to successful integration testing.
